First Week of Lockdown!

Hi Guys,

In spite of the heading, it is really only 5 days since golf was stopped, but already I’m bored.

Hope everybody is still fit and well and not doolally yet.

Has everybody got all their painting done?

Spent two days painting and then putting up some  new trellis to replace that which had blown down. If you think painting fencing is bad, try painting trellis. We’ve now got a lovely diamond pattern on the backyard slabs! On top of which, those days were the best golfing days of the week! (thinking about it, they were the best golfing days since I took over as Captain!)

Now all the hoarders have finished, we went shopping at Asda. Tricia did our stuff and I got some bits for our neighbour.  No problem keeping 2 metres away from anyone, particularly with my 2 metre diameter tutu, although it was a bit awkward getting thru the checkout!

Finally admitted to myself that I will not be playing golf for a while, and took my kit out of the car boot. Actually cleaned my trolley and polished it with car polish.

Sad. 

This week my job is to clean the clubs. Driver and 3 wood on Monday. Two each for each day of the week!

The other day my neighbour passed me a golf ball (from a distance). Apparently she had been for a walk along the path which goes over Belton Woods and found the ball. Bit surprised that she only found one! I’ll have to have a walk there sometime. 

The one she found was a “Vice”, so I guess that belongs to either David T or Paul, since they are the only ones I know who bought those balls. Thinking about it, it must be Paul’s; David hits them too straight to lose it!!

Well, that’s my first weeks boredom done. Still not cancelled the away day to Boston, trying to be optimistic and positive.
